Biography

Aristotle Protopapas Msc. (DIC) FRCS (Glasg), is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon on the Specialist Register of the Unite Kingdom since 2013. He read Medicine in Athens, Greece and holds an Msc. in Surgical Technology from the Imperial College London since 2006. Mr. Protopapas is a fellow-qua-surgeon (by examination) of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow since 1998, and member of the society of Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland since 2002. Mr. Protopapas served as an Army Medical Officer for two years before embarking in a career in surgery in native Greece, Republic of South Africa, New Zealand and presently the United Kingdom. Mr.Protopapas is interested in surgical Technology, minimal access surgery and repair of chest deformities, beating-heart and computer-assisted surgery, endoscopic conduit harvesting, pulmonary resection for primary and metastatic tumours, thoracoscopy, assessment of surgical technological solutions at clinical outcome level and virtual endoscopy-augmented reality. Mr. Protopapas envisages z hybrid cardiovascular physician for the immediate future. He serves at the Editorial Boards of Interactive Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery and Medical Instrumentation, and as Associate Editor of the Journal of Medicine Case Reports. Dr.Protopapas has sat at committees for healthcare commissioning and guiding of clinical evidence, and working groups of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
